BIO

On the 4th of May in the 1990s Tembele Camagwini Mabentsela was born to Mr Mxolisi Mabentsela & Mrs Pumla Msoki-Mabentsela in East London Frere Hospital. She is the middle child of 3 girls and also has older half siblings. It is unfortunate that she lost her father at a young age of 10 years old, by default was raised by a single parent. Her home is found in a place called Mzantsi under Cegcuana in a small town named Butterworth (eGcuwa).

This is where she grew up and did her schooling at Butterworth High School. After matric she moved to Bloemfontein where she completed her LLB, during her time here she was involved in charitable projects by the institution and several leadership positions that grew her confidence, public speaking and the joy of helping others.

She became Student Assistant on campus under Centre of Teaching and Learning where she was in the Tutoring Department. After completion of her LLB she secured her articles with a firm in East London as a Candidate Attorney where it was work by day and Law School by night. This phase was a definite learning curve and a true test of practice where she was exposed to learning so much and time management.

Towards the end of her articles she simultaneously registered for her Masters Degree in Private Law (coursework), with her exposure in practice she felt she needed to advance her knowledge in Damages, Property and Trusts. This decision further proved her love for research, writing, in depth knowledge and self development.

She is currently an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa and is practicing as such. She is the founder and director of Zizikazi Legal Consulting, a firm that specialises in Corporate Law, Commercial & Labour Law, Civil Litigation and Legal Costs.

She is an advocate for education, women empowerment especially the previously disadvantaged and engagements that provoke the mind and leaving one with food for thought.
